Boroughmuir Rugby Festival - Wednesday 20th November

Congratulations to our Sciennes Rugby team on their performance at yesterday's Borouhmuir Rugby Club festival.

Victory was recorded against Oxgangs before an excellent full contact match was played out with Boroughmuir Rugby Club's P6 Team. Some excellent tackles were put in from us, while two excellent scores complemented our fearless attitude.

To top it off the team met some of the touring Australia Rugby Squad for pictures and autographs before a question and answer session finished the day.

Mary Erskine's Cross Country - Wednesday 11th September

Congratulations to the following pupils who competed in yesterday's Mary Erskine's Leg of the Lothian Schools Cross Country;

Lucia and Bea for finishing a fantastic 3rd and 4th in the girls race!

Callum (7th), Tom (9th), Lewis (24th), Angus (26th), Ben (35th) and Danny (50th) for competing so well in a race with over 100 boys entries!

A fantastic achievement by all, well done.

Active Schools and PTA Clubs and NEW Tennis Sessions

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the long weekend?

Our Active Schools and PTA Club programmes have both got off to a flying start this week with great numbers signing up to nearly all clubs!

We do still have some spaces remaining on the following Active Schools Activities;

P4 - P7 Break/Street Dance - MondayAM
P5 - P7 Basketball - Wednesday AM
P3 - P7 Tae Kwon Do - Wednesday PM
P5 - P7 Boys Rugby - Thursday Lunchtime
P5 - P7 Girls Rugby - Thursday Lunchtime
P5 - P7 Waterpolo - Friday PM

If you are interested to apply for any of the above activities please log on to our Sciennes Wisepay Site;

We also have 2 new tennis sessions availble on Tuesday and Wednesday's after school until the October break.

Netball Club Cancelled - Tuesday 10th September

Unfortunately due to illness, today's first Netball session is cancelled.

The club will resume as scheduled next week, Tuesday 17th September.

Active Schools Clubs Now Live on WisePay

A warm welcome back to Sciennes Primary, I hope you all enjoyed an excellent Holiday period!

 

Once again all staff and I have worked together to produce this term’s range of activities. The Overviews, containing all club details, can be accessed via our website; www.sciennes.edin.sch.uk

On the reverse of this letter is a list of all clubs at Sciennes Primary and at various venues across the neighbourhood.

 

All clubs continue to be paid for through our schools on-line WISEPAY system.

 

Numbers on each club are limited. Once this limit is reached payments will NO LONGER be accepted. Please access the system ASAP to ensure your child attains a place.

 

If your child is interested to attend, please;

 

Access our on line WISEPAY System through www.sciennes.edin.sch.uk

 

Login with your Username and Password and select Tickets and Events.

 

Select and pay for your chosen clubs, remembering to tick to agree consent.

 

 

Every attempt will be made to inform children and parents/carers in advance when a club has been cancelled. However, occasionally cancellations happen at the last minute; you will be notified by Text Message, please therefore provide a mobile number if possible.

 

The school and I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents, teachers, tutors and volunteers who put so much time and effort into organising the sports and clubs for the children. Without them these activities would not take place.
